An increase in Delta variant COVID cases has prompted China to impose stricter measures to manage the outbreak.
More than 1 million people are under lockdown and mass testing campaigns are being introduced.
The outbreak has already spanned 14 provinces in China – linking more than 200 cases.
The World Health Organisation has warned countries to urgently contain the variant before it mutates into a deadlier virus.
