There are 19 new local coronavirus cases in the Australian Capital Territory.
Of these, 17 are linked to a know case or cluster in Canberra, ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr said today.
"Unfortunately, we have a small cluster of cases in our disability community," Chief Minister Barr said.
"This includes people living with disability and disability support workers.
"Government acknowledges the anxiety that this is causing and can advise that we have been actively supporting the affected individuals and the broader community and the Minister will talk further to this."
The ACT also slightly changed its reporting period which accounts for a slight increase in the cases from yesterday.
ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman said six of today's new cases were infectious in the community.
"We now have over 320 exposure locations across the ACT so please continue to stay up-to-date with those exposure locations," Dr Coleman added.
There are 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19 associated with an ACT disability care sector cluster.
"Additionally, there are significant numbers of disability support workers impacted by the current COVID-19 outbreak either as close, secondary or casual contacts," Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said.
"At this stage, we understand that five disability service providers are directly affected.
"However, this number may increase," she added.
Ms Stephen-Smith said plans for how to manage a potential outbreak in these settings have been underway for many months and these "were activated as soon as the outbreak started".
