THE ACT will receive 8344 Pfizer vaccines from the 500,000 doses secured by the federal government in a vaccine swap with Singapore.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr told today’s (September 1) covid media briefing that the ACT’s allocation was equal to a “big, single day” of total vaccinations across the ACT.

He said that “every little bit helps”.

In encouraging people to get vaccinated, he said there was pressure on bookings for Pfizer vaccinations with waiting lists reaching out until November, but that the AstraZeneca vaccine was more readily available at GPs and pharmacies.
