States and territories around the country have introduced border restrictions for people travelling from Queensland after the state recorded one new local case of COVID.
The case, announced on Friday, was detected in a 26-year-old man and is linked to Princess Alexandra Hospital doctor who was diagnosed on March 12.
It was also confirmed the man, a landscaper, had the coronavirus variant first reported in the UK, which is more contagious.
Authorities have listed 11 exposure sites visited by the 26-year-old including the shopping centre in Carindale and Bunnings, Aldi and Guzman y Gomez outlets in Stafford.
As the investigation into the case continues, states and territories have introduced border restrictions for travellers from the Sunshine State.
Here is a state-by-state breakdown.
New South Wales
NSW Health has urged anyone who has arrived from Queensland recently to be vigilant and follow the health advice from Queensland authorities.
Anyone who has been in the Brisbane or Moreton Bay region since March 20 is asked to check the Queensland Health website for public health instructions.
Those who have been in identified as close contacts of a case are prohibited from entering NSW.
If they are already in the state, they must immediately self isolate for 14 days and get tested.
Anyone who has been identified as a casual contact is asked to immediately get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is returned.
Victoria
Brisbane and Moreton Bay have since been labelled as ‘Orange zones’ under Victoria’s traffic light travel permit system, meaning anyone travelling from those areas must immediately self-isolate for 72 hours upon arrival to Victoria.
They must also get a coronavirus test and stay isolated until a negative result is returned.
The Victorian Department of Health also urges those who have visited exposure sites in Queensland to follow the advice of health authorities there.
South Australia
South Australia has not introduced any border control measures for travellers from Queensland.
However, anyone who has arrived in the state from Brisbane or Moreton Bay is urged to get tested for COVID and immediately self-isolate until they receive a negative result.
SA Health also advises people to get tested on days 5 and 13 of their arrival.
Western Australia
Anyone who has arrived from Queensland since March 20 must get tested and self-isolate immediately.
Queenslanders who have arrived in WA and have visited the exposure sites during the relevant times are advised to get tested immediately and self-isolate for 14 days since they were at the location.
Travellers who undertake two weeks of quarantine will also be required to undergo a COVID test on day 11.
Tasmania
Tasmania has closed its border to anyone who has visited the exposure locations outlined by Queensland Health, unless they have been approved as an essential traveller.
Anyone who is already in the state and visited any of the locations is asked to immediately self-isolate and contact the public health line.
Those who have been to Brisbane or Moreton Bay since March 8 and are already in Tasmania are also asked to monitor themselves closely for symptoms and immediately isolate and get tested if symptoms develop.
Northern Territory
Anyone who has arrived in the Northern Territory from Queensland since March 20 is required to get a COVID test.
The NT also urges anyone who has been to an exposure site to seek testing.
Those who are yet to arrive in the territory and have visited any of the exposure sites in Brisbane must self-isolate for 72 hours and get a COVID test until a negative result is returned.
Exposure sites
Queensland Health has identified one close contact venue so far. Anyone who has been to Mamma’s Italian Restaurant in Redcliffe on Sunday March 21 from 12.30pm-3.10pm is urged to immediately quarantine for 14 days.
Several other exposure sites have been identified, with visitors to these locations urged to get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is returned.

- Guzman y Gomez, Stafford (drive through) on Monday March 22 from 12.20pm-12.25pm
- Bunnings Warehouse, Stafford on Monday March 22 from 12.40pm-12.50pm
- Aldi Stafford, Stafford City Shopping Centre on Thursday March 25 from 8.30am-8.45am
- Nundah Respiratory Clinic, Nundah on Thursday March 25 from 11.15am-11.40am
Anyone who has visited the following locations is urged to monitor themselves for symptoms.
