There have been no new locally acquired COVID-19 cases recorded in Queensland as people turn out in large numbers to get vaccinated at walk-in hubs.
The state also detected no new cases in hotel quarantine, making it a "double donut" day.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said Saturday was a record day for vaccinations in Queensland, with 31,004 jabs administered.
She said 59.34 per cent of Queenslanders had received their first dose of vaccine, and 41.1 per cent were fully inoculated.
While some vaccination hubs saw long queues forming yesterday, with some unable to accept walk-ins later in the day, Ms Palaszczuk said today presented another opportunity for anyone who missed out.
"There is plenty of capacity today, but we did a record vaccination day yesterday, so, 31,004 Queenslanders turned up to get their vaccination on the super Pfizer weekend. Now, that weekend is not finished," she said.
"So today is your opportunity. So … please come out today, roll up your sleeves.
"I will be giving regular updates on radio through the day as well to let you know where you can get your vaccination, but there is plenty of capacity, especially in the afternoons, when things tend to slow down, so please come out and get your Pfizer this weekend, and you are making a difference to keeping Queenslanders safe."
Walk-ins 'something that Queenslanders really want'
New Deputy Chief Health Officer Lynne McKinlay said over 60s would still have access to the Pfizer vaccine after this weekend.
"Anybody over the age of 60 can get Pfizer at Queensland Health locations if they choose to.
"We had a terrific response yesterday, great demand, and we've got plenty of capacity, no limitation on vaccine availability, so please look at the website and see a location close to you," Dr McKinlay said.
"Anybody over the age of 12 can be vaccinated.
"Obviously walk-ins are something Queenslanders really want, we have seen a great response. We'll be looking at the response this weekend and provide more opportunities for walk-ins as we go forward."
AMA urges higher uptake of vaccines
Despite the high turnout this weekend, AMA Queensland said the state needed to do more before an inevitable outbreak of the Delta strain occurred.
In an open letter to all Queenslanders, the AMA said it was not a matter of if but when Delta took hold in the state.
"Without your patience, your understanding, your preparedness to obey public health directives, and your desire to get vaccinated, Queensland would already be in the same situation as other states," wrote Maria Boulton, a GP in Brisbane who vaccinates 500 patients against COVID every week.
"However, now we need you to do more. We need you to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Now that we have supply of Pfizer and AstraZeneca, it is time for all Queenslanders over the age of 12 to roll up their sleeves and get their jabs.
"We understand that you have a choice. Please do not throw this opportunity away. There is an absolute urgency to being fully vaccinated.
"We are pleading with you. We do not want you to wait. There is no time for delay."
