Saturday's positive case in Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands remains under investigation more than 72 hours after it was first reported.

NSW Health spokesman Dr Jeremy McAnulty thanked people in the Southern Highlands area for coming forward for testing.

"Testing figures show there has been a good response from the Southern Highlands community to the call for people to get tested, particularly among people living in Moss Vale," he said.

People from the Southern Highlands, Sydney's south-western suburbs and the Hills District should get tested if they detect mild symptoms, after recent indications that the virus is circulating in these areas.

There are 70 active cases of COVID-19 in NSW, and only three of those are being treated in hospital. No patients are in intensive care.

Victoria recorded its 11th consecutive day of zero coronavirus cases as the state's residents enjoy more freedoms after months of strict lockdown.

Queensland recorded one case in hotel quarantine in a returning traveller from Turkey.

Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young told ABC radio in Brisbane on Tuesday morning that she hoped Victorians would be allowed into Queensland without quarantining some time in December.
