The last COVID-19 patient in a Victorian hospital has been discharged, bringing Victoria closer to officially eliminating the virus.

Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed the man, who was the only active case remaining in the state, was cleared of the virus and discharged from Monash Medical Centre yesterday.
The man's wife, who had also been hospitalised with the virus, was discharged last week.
The Department of Health and Human Services says the last time Victoria's hospitals were free of coronavirus cases was February 21.
Mr Andrews said the confirmation that Victoria was free of COVID was great news, but he warned against complacency as the state begins to open up.
"This is far from over, even with this run of zero days, no active cases, very strong testing performance and people who are doing the right thing," he said.
"Until a vaccine arrives, this is going to be something that is with us for the foreseeable future."
Monash Medical Centre also treated the first hospitalised case of the virus in late February.
The hospital established a new unit in April specifically to treat coronavirus patients, as the number of people requiring treatment began to rise.
The new unit was built from components used at the Melbourne Grand Prix and the Melbourne Cup.
Yesterday, Victoria recorded its 24th consecutive day without a new coronavirus case or death.
Over the course of the pandemic, Victoria has registered 20,345 cases of COVID-19 and 819 deaths.
The first case was identified in a returned traveller on January 24.
