A man in his 50s infected with COVID-19 has been taken to the ICU at Royal Darwin Hospital, the NT government says.

The man is from Katherine and is fully vaccinated, a government spokesperson said.
It comes as the Northern Territory recorded no new cases of coronavirus overnight, according to the government.
The NT government on Friday announced the Territory had recorded its first COVID-19 death — a 78-year-old woman from the remote community of Binjari.
The number of positive cases connected to the current outbreak remains at 60.
Wastewater results for the Bicentennial Road catchment site in Katherine, which continue to concern NT health authorities, again returned positive, according to the statement.
The government urged anyone in the Northern Territory — especially residents from Katherine who have symptoms — get tested for COVID-19 immediately.
Wastewater testing in the remote communities of Binjari, and Lajamanu, which recorded its first positive case on Thursday, have returned negative, the government said.
There are currently 218 active close contacts related to the current outbreak, all of which have been contacted and are isolating, the government says.
Of these, 215 have returned a negative test, according to the statement.
The government said more than 2,700 COVID-19 tests were processed across the Northern Territory yesterday.
