No new local COVID-19 cases across Victoria - 9News

The state recorded six cases in hotel quarantine.

This is the fourth day in a row Victoria has had no community transmission.

There are now 45 active cases across the state.

There will be fewer flights, both domestic and internationally, to reduce the number of infections landing on our doorstep.

All staff in quarantine hotels will be tested daily, and anyone who tests positive to the virus after returning from overseas will undergo genome sequencing within 48 hours.

"As our friends from Queensland have pointed out, that was totally in line with Australian and international protocols," Health Minister Martin Foley said.

"We want to make sure we take every step to make sure that we are as cautious as possible as the nature of this virus evolves, that our response evolves."
